Crispy and wonderfully flavorful, these baked parmesan crisps are ultra-thin crisps for soups, salads, or delicious cheese platter. They are VERY easy to make with only three ingredients!

The trick to making the parmesan cheese crisps recipe crunchy is to slice the baguette extra thin. Use a sharp serrated knife. Also, shred the parmesan cheese yourself. It will melt and taste way better.

How to Make Parmesan Cheese Crisps

  • Step 1: Slice the baguette – Use a sharp serrated knife to slice the baguette into thirds. Then slice each third into 1/8-inch thick slices. They do not have to be perfect.

  • Step 2: Brush with olive oil – Place the baguette slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a large baking sheet or two smaller sheets. Brush both sides of baguette slices with olive oil.

  • Step 3: Sprinkle with parmesan and bake – Sprinkle each baguette slice with parmesan cheese. Bake in a preheated 350 F oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crisp. Leave on the baking sheet to cool before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, cut into thirds, then sliced horizontally 1/8-inch thick
  • Olive oil
  • Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded with a box grater
  • Kosher salt and fresh black pepper, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet. One large baking sheet or two smaller baking sheets work great. Brush both sides of baguette slices with olive oil. Then sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden and crisp. Cool on the baking sheet before serving. They will crisp up further as they cool.
