Description

This 4-ingredient guacamole recipe is creamy, flavorful, and easy to make. Enjoy it as a dip for parties or a topping with your favorite meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large ripe avocados
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice, plus more to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. Slice the avocados in half lengthwise. Remove the pit and discard. Remove the avocado from the skin and place the avocado flesh into a large bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork. Make it as chunky or as smooth as you like.
  3. Add garlic, lime juice, and cilantro. Season with salt to taste. Give it a taste and add more salt and lime juice if needed.
  4. Serve right away or chill covered for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

  • Storing Leftovers:  Leftover guacamole is best enjoyed within 2-3 days. Cover it with plastic wrap so the plastic is directly touching the surface of the guacamole. Less air gap means less oxidizing. Scoop off the brown layer that may form, and enjoy.
