Sharing my ALL time favorite green smoothie today! If you follow me on instastories then you’ve seen me make a variation of this breakfast power smoothie a handful of times. It has the perfect dose of greens, fruit, and creaminess. Best part is that the recipe is very adaptable. You can tweak it with just few simple swaps.
My favorite way to change up the flavor (just so slightly) is with flavored yogurt. Today I’m using Oikos Triple Zero yogurt thanks to my friends at Dannon. The yogurt comes in variety of flavors like vanilla, strawberry, peach, mixed berry, and cherry just to name a few. It’s a delicious creamy protein loaded Greek yogurt that I was able to easily pick up at my local Walmart in the dairy aisle.
The smoothie base is fresh baby spinach, frozen mango chunks, and banana. Then a splash or so of plain almond milk, creamy Oikos yogurt, and almond butter. I like to use vanilla or strawberry flavored yogurt in this smoothie. Just make sure to use unsweetened, plain almond milk since the yogurt is already flavored. You can also add your favorite protein powder for an added boost of protein or nuts and seeds.
But whether you want to sneak some greens into your diet, re-vamp your morning breakfast or simply need an afternoon pick me up this is your smoothie. Plus it’s totally 100% kid approved! Both of my kids love love this green smoothie. It’s fruity, sweet, and you can’t taste the spinach. I mean what else do kiddos want…right?
