Description

Turkey Cuban sandwich is incredibly easy to make with leftover turkey meat instead of pork. It’s such a delicious sandwich with so many different layers and texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ciabatta rolls or any other crusty bread
  • 4 slices of swiss cheese
  • 2 generous slices of leftover turkey meat
  • 4 slices of smoked ham
  • 2 dill pickles, sliced lengthwise
  • Dijon mustard
  • Butter
  • Kosher salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the ciabatta roll in half and spread a generous amount of mustard on each half. Then layer the sandwich with cheese, pickles, ham, turkey, and more cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat a large cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Melt a little butter in the pan. Place the sandwiches in the pan and top with a heavy skillet on top to press them down. Cook until the bread is toasted and cheese is melted, flip, and continue to cook on the other side. Slice the sandwiches in half before serving.
