I come to you with another delicious salad dressing today. I’ve always made my own dressings for as long as I can remember just because they taste 100% better than store bought. With warmer days approaching and fresh farm produce making its way to even our cold neck of the woods (soon!), I know I’m looking forward to eating more fresh greens and vegetables. We actually used our grill for the first time since late fall this past week and it felt SO good! On the menu: 30-Minute Cilantro-Lime Chicken with Avocado Salsa and a side of fresh spinach salad with Poppyseed Dressing. It was simple, good, and fresh!
This creamy homemade Poppyseed Dressing is slightly sweet and not overly thick. Perfect balance of creaminess and sweetness. I’ve tested many versions of this dressing and came to conclusion that slightly sweet poppyseed dressing is the way to go as it’s not overpowering what you’re serving it on. You just need 5 ingredients that you probably already have on hand, 5 minutes of your time, and something good to pour this goodness on.
I love this dressing on any TYPE of spinach salad: strawberry, avocado, berries, winter fruit. I mean you can do so much with this! I love this on a chopped salad and heard you can pair it with a fruit salad, which I have yet to try. Or mix it into a coleslaw for that sweet and creamy taste.
